Whaly Boats are roto – moulded in very duralble polyethylene. Designed and produced in Holland they resemble an inflatable boat but are completely rigid. We are pleased to announce that we have been appointed as a full dealer for Yamaha Marine engines. A full inventory of service parts will be stocked within the next 10 days. Our fully trained  Yamaha service technician, Steve Lockart has been with us since October 2010.

Okay so the weather was better, positively glorious on Sunday or parts of it anyway! If I was pushed I would say there were more people there overall. We enjoyed some positive visits to our stand, lots of questions being asked. Not many sales but as we all know…..lots may come of it. As my very experienced colleague Dave Nunn would say…’Laters’.

We did pick up the award for the best ‘Boat and Water Sports’ stand at the show, some credit for this must go to Dometic, E P Barrus (Mercury/Mariner) and of course Garmin. There contribution to our stand was immense….Thank you, Greg, Mick and Kevin!

I hope this show continues although the weather plays a large role in the balance of success or failure, because of the timing I don’t see this changing. The Butcher in the tent was great, breast of ‘lamb stuffed with black pudding’ outstanding, Wow-Wow mustard and cheeses……….spectacular!

We will be running our open day at Shepperton Marina on the 16th of April 2011.  We will display a range of new products making some introductory offers. The mainstay of the day will be centred around our featured Auction. The catalogue for which will be available in our chandlery from the middle of March, This will also be available on line.

Our canopy maker will be on hand to give advice and estimates on new canopies and repairs.

We are all quite excited here, we have just taken delivery of our first 22 foot motor sloop. Very much along the lines of the Interboat or Antaris Dutch Sloops, these Scandinavian designed boats are very well appointed. Powered by the well known Yanmar 3 cylinder diesel these boats display very frugal tendencies. Yanmar engines are supplied in the UK by an excellent dealer network backed by the Barrus orgaisation. Our 22 footer boasts teak decks and cockpit sole, some nice stanless steel work, blue upholstery with white detailing. These vessels are perfect for pub trips, family days out and general waterbourne hob nobbing.

Our very artful (I mean artistic, artful is good though) marine trimmer Will has donned his most outrageous beret and swears to me he will put the icing on the cake………..I’ll will be glad of an elegant canopy!

We are giving this new show at Windsor another try this year. Last years inaugural show was a little sodden that aside the show is on our doorstep. We will be showing our new 22′ motor sloop along with selected Kruger boats and of course the timeless range of Polar Kraft aluminium boats. Our in house canopy maker has designed and fitted a rather sleek new folding cuddy and whaleback cover to our 1670 deep ‘V’ boat……Impressive! We will be supported by Garmin Marine and Waeco/Dometic with their mobile dispaly units. E P Barrus will also have a presence on our stand with a range of SunSport inflatables, Mercury and Mariner outboard engines.
